For our products to be truly circular, we have developed the Recycling Certification Protocol for the assessment of Fibre-Based Composite Packaging (FBCP). The methodology has been developed with the support of independent industry experts from both suppliers and producers, as well as external consultants and experts. RECY:CHECK describes the certification methodology to determine the actual recyclability of Fiber-Based Composite Packaging in specialized mills reprocessing liquid packaging cartons – including the PolyAl fraction. By integrating the foundational principles, rationale, calculations, and classification criteria from RecyClass, the RECY:CHECK methodology extends these robust standards to fibre-based composite packaging.
