From sustainable land use and forest resilience to biodiversity and ecosystem restoration, discussions will explore how responsibly managed forests and forest-based value chains contribute to stronger, more resilient landscapes. These are not future concepts, but solutions already in place and making a difference. For the FBCA, this conversation is especially relevant. Fibre-based packaging plays a key role in connecting sustainable material sourcing with circular outcomes, including collection, sorting and recycling. On 10 June, the FBCA will join Cepi in an event that will highlight how the forest-based sector is already delivering tangible results across Europe. Bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and experts, the event will showcase practical examples from across Europe, alongside perspectives on how to scale impact further. The focus is clear: building on what works, strengthening collaboration, and ensuring that the forest-based bioeconomy continues to contribute to Europe’s climate and environmental objectives.
