FBCA's Raymond De Schrevel and the Recyclability Evaluation Protocol: 4evergreen seminar 11 September

August 27, 2025

The Recyclability Evaluation Protocol is a central part of a circular economy toolbox. According to 4evergreen, the cross-industry alliance that brings together stakeholders from the entire fibre-based packaging value chain, the Protocol provides a practical and comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges of circularity in fibre-based packaging.

An upcoming online session will offer a closer look at the latest updates to the Protocol. Attendees will explore its three-part structure, hear from industry experts, and gain insights into how this tool is shaping the future of sustainable packaging.

One of the featured speakers is FBCA's Raymond De Schrevel, Global Business Development. Raymond has been instrumental in the development of the Protocol, bringing a strong focus on practical implementation and industry alignment.

“Finding consensus on a scoring methodology that works for all packaging types was no small feat, but it was essential,", said Raymond. "The 4evergreen Protocol is not just a document. It is a foundation for future-proof packaging design. With industry-wide collaboration, we have created a tool that could shape the European standard for recyclability by 2030.”

The session will include deep dives into each part of the Protocol, a look at what is new in the latest version, and a forward-looking discussion on its future role. A live Q&A will give participants the opportunity to engage directly with the experts.

📅 Be sure to join this important session and discover how the Protocol is helping to build a circular future for fibre-based packaging.
