The Food and Beverage Carton Alliance (FBCA) is the result of the merger of ACE (The Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment) and EXTR:ACT, two organizations that that have championed beverage cartons as a sustainable packaging solution and the industry’s work in ensuring they are collected and recycled. With a vision to expand beyond Europe, FBCA aspires to unite beverage carton manufacturers and their paperboard suppliers in driving sustainable packaging solutions that enhance food security, reduce waste, and advance low-carbon circular economies.

The Food and Beverage Carton Alliance’s vision is for food and beverage cartons to be recognized as an integral part of resilient food systems building on a value chain that is respectful of our planet's scarce resources and strives towards renewability and reduced climate impact.
Our members are innovating daily to contribute to resilience and climate security, by working towards fully renewable and ever more sustainable packaging, which is safe, and extends the shelf-life of food inside.

Mission
Our platform provides the food and beverage carton value chain a common trusted voice - globally and locally - leading policy representation and stakeholder engagement to improve understanding of how food and beverage cartons contribute to circular economies and food systems transformation.
We advocate for public policy that recognizes the essential role of food and beverage cartons, stimulates just transitions towards low carbon circular economies and provides fair competitive landscapes for industry.
We share science-based facts and figures demonstrating the environmental performance and sustainability benefits of cartons, collecting and consolidating aggregated industry data, information and research for policy advocacy, communication and benchmarking purposes.
